Groupe GM teams up with Gemology to launch first hotel line enriched with gemstones and mineral extracts

Paris, July 22nd 2013 – Groupe GM today announced its partnership with Gemology, an innovative cosmetic brand that harnesses the power of precious and semi-precious stones, to launch the first hotel line enriched with gemstones and mineral extracts. The Gemology range of hotel cosmetics is enriched with sapphire-diamond complex extract, and features a classic, elegant perfume blending a sensual floral fragrance with tones of vanilla, musk and cedar.

“We see great potential in Gemology and its products”, explained Laurent Marchand, President of Groupe GM. “The concept is unlike anything we have offered before, and a very good example of how we leverage innovative products to constantly enrich all segments of our catalogue. The Gemology line offers luxurious products for any hotel wishing to make their guests feel truly special.”

The hotel line is made up of the Source de Saphir Bath and Shower Gel, Caresse de Diamant Body Lotion, Douceur Minérale Shampoo, Eclat de Diamant Conditioner and Pureté Minérale Hair & Body Gel – available in 40ml bottles, complete with black “twisto” caps. Soaps also feature in the hotel line, with the Mousse de Saphir Soap (20g) and Mousse de Saphir Massage Soap (40g) coming in stylish matte white cardboxes.

Completing the range are the Pureté Minérale Hair & Body Gel and Mousse de Saphir Liquid Soap, both available in 300ml Ecopump dispensers. The 100% recyclable Ecopump gives hotels a sustainable yet elegant way to pass on the benefits of Gemology to their guests, and is becoming increasingly popular with hotels concerned about their environmental impact.

Chrystelle Lannoy, founder of Gemology, combined her deep knowledge of cosmetics with her passion for precious stones and gems to create the brand in 2007. “We recognised that the very minerals needed to nourish the skin and keep it vibrant are infused in every precious and semi-precious stone”, she explains. “We extract these minerals and use them to craft an exciting array of mineral-rich beauty products that give skin the hydration, oxygenation and regeneration it requires.”

All formulations in the Gemology range are free of paraben and silicone. The dermatologically-tested products have not been tested on animals, nor do they contain any ingredients of animal origin.
