A UNIQUE STORY

1930

Birth of Mr Rocher at la Gacilly.
At 14, he discovered his passion for the plant world. In his spare time he read about plants, discovered their portential, observed nature, uncovered and learnt from the experience of experts.

 


1959

Mr Yves Rocher set up his first Botanical Beauty laboratory in the
attic of his home. It was there that he produced his first cream, from
Ficaria, which led to the Yves Rocher’s first N.A.T (Natural Assimilation
Technology) registered patent. 

 


1962

Yves Rocher became the mayor of La Gacilly, “Imagine, organize, build, create, these are my goals! Those that follow us are those that want to live. One day la Gacilly will be well known and prosperous. I make this oath and you will be the judges!” In 1982, Yves Rocher was elected general advisor, 10 years later, he was elected regional advisor. 

 


1964

Launch of the 1st Beauty cream for sensitive skin. In 2013, for the first time, more than 20,000 women on Facebook, voted for the new vintage design of the Pure Calmille Collector Edition.

 


1965

Publication of the first «Green Book of Beauty» Today it has a diffusion of 10 million copies and is translated into 20 languages including Braille.

 

 


1969

 

Yves Rocher opened his first Beauty Center on the Boulevard Haussmann, 46 years later this store became the Brand’s Concept Store, where you are now.

 


1974

 

Launch of Riche Crème, a best-seller for 35 years with more than 8 million units sold each year. 

 


1975

Creation of the Botanical.Gardent La Gacilly, devoted to conservation, research and innovation. 1 100 plant species are conserved there.

 


1991

Creation of the Yves Rocher Foundation under the aegis of the Institut de France in 2001

 


1997

The fields at La Gacilly were certified as Organic Farming.

 


2007

The Yves Rocher Foundation under the aegis of the Institut de France promised to plant 1 million trees.
This commitment has since increased to 100 million. 

 


2008

Mr Yves Rocher was promoted to Commander of the Legion of
Honour by the president of France.

 


2009

Eco Hotel Spa La Grée des Landes opening, certified by the European Eco Label

 


2015

Launch of Sérum Végétal anti aging line, emblematic of Botanical Beauty.
